Our Story
Today, West CSI proudly operates from it's own 1-acre property and facility in Ridgefield, WA; home to our distribution center and offices where our teams collaborate to support clients with excellence.
Founded in 2008 from a home office, the company has grown into a trusted Division 8 and Division 10 supplier serving general contractors, developers, school districts, and design teams throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. From hospitality and healthcare projects to large mixed-use developments, K-12 campuses, and higher education facilities, we’ve partnered on work where performance, compliance, and coordinated delivery truly mater.
Built on Technical Strength
In the commercial openings world, details decide everything. A hinge, a closer, a key system, a fire label — each one impacts life safety, code compliance, durability, and long-term maintenance.
West CSI was founded with a commitment to technical accuracy. We don’t just quote materials. We study specifications, review door schedules, evaluate hardware sets, and identify conflicts before they become field problems. We work closely with general contractors and architects to develop complete, coordinated hardware solutions that meet ANSI, BHMA, UL, accessibility, and local jurisdiction requirements.
Our team is deeply involved in the architectural hardware community, pursuing advanced industry education and staying current on evolving codes and product innovations. That technical discipline allows us to confidently manage everything from straightforward tenant improvements to complex institutional facilities.
Relationships Matter
Over the years, West CSI has partnered with leading manufacturers across the industry and built strong relationships with contractors throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and beyond.
We have supported major developments, school districts, hospitality brands, and multifamily projects — consistently delivering accurate submittals, coordinated hardware schedules, and dependable lead times.
We operate with a long-term mindset. Manufacturers value partners who understand their products technically. Contractors value suppliers who respond quickly, solve problems, and stand behind their commitments. We work hard to be both.
Evolving With The Industry
Construction is changing. Digital bidding platforms, AI-assisted estimating, automated workflows, and real-time schedule coordination are reshaping how projects move from concept to closeout.
West CSI is intentionally building systems that increase clarity and efficiency — from bid tracking and hardware schedule development to keying coordination and submittal management. We believe technology should support craftsmanship, not replace it.
Open Competition, Fair Specifications
We believe projects benefit when specifications are written fairly and competitively.
West CSI has become known for advocating open specifications that allow equal manufacturers to compete based on performance, testing, and value — not restrictive language. When appropriate, we prepare detailed substitution comparisons outlining standards, cycle testing, certifications, warranties, and lifecycle considerations so owners can make informed decisions.
Our goal is not just to win work. It’s to ensure the project receives compliant, high-quality products at a competitive price.
